Christmas Home Decor 2017: 25 Days of Holiday Cheer

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Finally! It is officially December, and I am so excited going into this holiday season simply because this is the very first one I get to share it with all of you.

Since this is one of my favorite yearly celebrations, and my official first holiday season as a blogger, I wanted to do something special to really capture the joy of the season here on my blog.

So...

I've decided that for the next 25 days (everyday through Christmas,) I am going to post a holiday, christmas, or winter inspired blog post that I hope will give you all the merry holiday feels. I've got lots of surprises and inspiration in store, so if you're as obsessed with Christmas as I am, or you're just looking for a little jolly fun this month, be sure to check back every day for a new festive post.

I'm calling this little chapter of my blog 25 Days of Holiday Cheer, and I'm kicking it off today with a peek inside my holiday home.

DAY 1:

Since Travis and I recently downsized to a smaller home, I didn't go crazy with the Christmas decorations as in years past. This year I really wanted to focus on what matters - making warm memories with my loved ones. I wanted our home to feel like a cozy little festive sanctuary when we walked in the door from all the hustle and bustle going on this time of year.

I wanted to keep the dining area simple since it is where we eat every day. I really love how it turned out this year. I purchased everything here from Pier One; with the exception of the centerpiece which is from Kirkland's. Sticking with one store when decorating a table scape can make creating cohesive look much easier and headache free. Stores like Pier One usually have all their products pre-placed in their store and in inspiration pictures online. So if you're not an interior designer, your table can still look like you hired one.

I chose a winter white theme. Keeping all the items I purchased neutral and sparkling with soft textures such as faux fur mixed in.

How cute are these cocktail napkins?! I found then in the holiday shop at Target.

I made use of all the fabulous twinkle lights that have been so popular this year by placing them throughout the decor. I think it adds a little extra sparkle, and really compliments the lights on the tree.

This is my first flocked tree, and I've got to say, my favorite artificial tree purchase to date. Not only is it great quality, it was a steal at Michael's. If you're looking for one this year, I certainly recommend this one.

I picked up most of my decor from Pier One, Michaels, and Home Goods. Three of my favorite home decor stores that definitely did not disappoint this year in the holiday department.

I really love the packaging and candle scents released by Bath and Body Works this year. The glass gold and silver holders are simply beautiful, and the marble toppers they chose for select candles are literally EVERYTHING. This Vanilla Spiced Pear scent is absolutely heavenly.

Before I decided on a color scheme this year, my main decor intention could be described in one word: Cozy.

SO, you will notice lots of soft blankets and fabrics scattered throughout the home. I even found the softest (not to mentioned cutest,) table runner from Pier One that I think even adds a little cozy the the dining area. You can get a peek at it in the pictures above.
