It can be so tempting, and often much easier, to gravitate towards neutrals when picking out outwear pieces for the cold weather season. While I do think everyone should have a quality black coat or two in their closet, it can be fun, (and often stylishly rewarding,) to choose a pop of color when perusing the coat racks at your favorite department store. I picked up this bright burgundy toned peacoat over 4 years ago (from Forever 21 nonetheless,) and it's still a staple for me every single winter. So, I challenge you: next time you are shopping for that perfect piece of outerwear, try choosing a color other than black or beige. It's an effortless way to amp up any outfit, and you might just be surprised how much wear you actually get out of it.
