A look back: My Spring Wardrobe Capsule

March is here, (I swear it was just January 1st like 5 minutes ago...) and it's bringing spring right along with it. Like most, I too look forward to packing away the over-worn sweaters and over coats (just kidding, I live in Texas,) and bringing out the sundresses, bright florals, and fun pastels.

If you've been following along with me on my little style journey here on the blog, then you know I enjoy collecting items for my wardrobe that will span the seasons for many years to come. I pride myself a bit on being able to collect pieces that I truly love, and are based on my core sense of style, not just a current trend.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sure I will have a spring fling or two with a good trend this coming season, (see what I did there? puns make me giggle...ok, moving on) but seriously, what I look forward to most at the beginning of each new season is re-discovering my own wardrobe.

So what better way to get inspired for spring and invite those beloved pieces in my wardrobe back into my daily style than a trip down memory lane... Below are pictures from my original blog (circa 2014 I believe) that feature items I still wear today. I hope you enjoy this little Flash Back Friday: Spring Wardrobe Edition.

I still own and wear every single item in this picture: The top, jeans, shoes (Valentino Rockstuds will forever by my Bae,) the sunnies, necklace. Everything.

I'm still actually really proud of (and in love with) this look from the summer of 2014. It's a great example of one splurge piece paired with economical and fashionable finds. The Louboutin's bring the high end, and the rest of the outfit represents looking lovely for less. All other pieces (including the dress) are from Forever 21 and Francesca's.

Blue and white florals forever reigns as an American classic....and a Kate Spade bag is timeless. These are strong facts.

This is still one of my go-to travel outfits for spring and summer.

So I want to know, what are a few of your favorite seasonal items that you've had for years and are still loving?? Share with me in the comments below.

Thanks for stopping by today.

xo, Brit
