Pumpkin Patch Fun & My Go-To Fall Outfit this Year

Did you know there was such a thing as National Pumpkin Day? Well there is, so naturally I had to make a quick little trip to my local pumpkin patch to pick up a few pumpkins for the front porch, and capture a cute moment for the blog to document such an occasion.

I love my little Texas Hill Country community for many reasons, one of which is all the little gems hidden down county roads and off beaten paths. My local garden center is just that. Each year they host a pumpkin patch full of family fun, food trucks, and live music from local talent. It's so much fun, and I really enjoy it year after year.

If you are ever in doubt about what to wear to a fall event or occasion, here's my personal go-to advice: Pair a sweater dress with a good fall boot and your favorite hat, and you can't go wrong. You will look put together and stylish enough for a dinner with family and friends yet casual enough to not feel over-dressed at places like, I don't know, say, a pumpkin patch. ;)

Personally, if I had to choose the perfect fall outfit, I think this would be it. This sweater dress is not only a flattering fit, but it is THE coziest thing I've put on my body in 2020---and this has been the year of loungewear people!

You can find more of this little pumpkin patch trip, and all my fall adventures on my Instagram Highlights.
